The Windblown Hand -Two Cases Report-


Abstract
This syndrome is very rare and firstly reported by Freeman and Sheldon in 1938. Features of this incluce a characteristic appearance with multiple skeletal anomalies, probalbly due to abnormal muscle tone.
The diagnosis is based on the characteristic appearance with prominent supraorbital ridge, sunken eyes, telecanthus, hypoplastic alae nasi, high narrow palate, long philtrum and marked microstomia with puckered lips.
The hand showed flexion contracture of the MP joint with ulna deviation of the fingers. The feet demonstrated mild talipes equinovarus. We reported two cases of the windblown hand who were admitted for hand deformities which were corrected
surgically in
Korea university Hospital.
